Well that did it, my computer has crashed on me for the LAST EFFIN TIME!!!

I hate this POS I have sooooo, I just purchased a new one for about oh... 2 grand... Yeah, I could have built it cheaper, but I don't have the cash to buy a bunch of parts and I don't have the time to put them together. -_- MEH!!! (Well a large part of that is that I spent a beacoup amount of money for stuff and tickets to the family values concert and a payment to my school)

This couldn't have happened at a better time, my finals are this weekend and I have a concert I've been looking foward to for a while tomarrow... Teh joy! It really sucks cause I lost a bunch of pictures and a 40,000 word story I had been working on for a few months now... *cries*

Moral of the story: Backup, back-up and BACK UP. I'm paranoid, but I do it to DVD-RW every two-weeks, slowly moving less worked on items to straight DVD+R for straight storage.

Assuming you don't pick bad media your safe...

Queen , I can understand completely , right now I am looking to do quite a few tech upgrades to my computer as well .

And as for back-up I completely understand currently I am working on my M.A.M.E. FILES ,and was shocked to learn that the file is 14 GIG in size! :shock:

So as for back up I am going to NEED an external hard drive of some signifigant size currently my emulator and game count is up to about 8,000 games ( alright so i'm a geek :oops:

, but one can never have too many games!

Tech upgrades that I have to go through are gonna be murder

, I have to replace the motherboard on my desk top , replace and "ghost" all 200 gig of info , get about 2 sata hard drives of abot 600 gig each , get 2 new video cards , and eventualy get a faster main cpu ( currently I am running a AMD 64 3400+ ) I need all of this for school as I will be taking classes on useing Lightwave rendering... :shock:

Hopefully I can stay "afloat" to see all of this through...

Man "higher education" is an arm and a leg nowadays !
