Finally listened to "The Thing on the Doorstep" and realized that Daniel Upton is an Architect. Wasn't even trying with that HPL reference paying into Sarah's dad's backstory.

Lovecraft remarked that he was born in the wrong century; that he should have been around during the early 1800s in England. Personally, I think he also would have done well around the late 20th-21st century. I can just imagine the guy posting stories on his website, commenting on fanfiction (he wrote for fan and pulp magazines in his time - closest analogy!), asking for donations and posting extremely controversial rants on race in America.
