I have been casting my own bullets for many years. Alloying and fluxing wheel weights, lead pipe and linotype. Casting the skimmed and refined metal into ingots for later casting projects. The molten metal must be hot enough to fill the mold properly and the mold must also be proper temperature. The cast bullet still must be lubed and sized to prevent leading the bore. Since Silver is a higher temperature metal than lead/tin alloy, bullets cast from it may be driven faster IMHO. Some cast lead alloy bullets may also be driven faster with the addition of a gas check--a brass or copper cap seated onto the bullet base in the sizing process. Then there's Lasercast bullets which contain a small percentage of Silver.
