Shifting

Postby RBrigham » Tue Apr 15, 2008 5:53 pm

Kris, what extent do the weres shift to, just between smooth-skin and two legged furs, or do they sometimes go all the way to full four-legged wolf form?

Kris has covered this several times before, so I think I can answer for him.

Werewolves have two shapes - human and hybrid (or "smooth-skin" and "fur" if you insist). The two base forms are more or less "fixed." Experienced lycanthropes can "draw-out" the transformation but cannot maintain these transitional states for very long nor can they change just one part of their body. Newly created thralls shift erratically as they haven't yet learned how to control their transformation.

There hasn't been any mention of a lycanthrope with a third, "full animal" form, so it's pretty safe to assume there's only the two.
