Poor Peter. First, the Doctor spooks his girlfriend/mate. Then he has to try to catch up with her by catching a ride on the Aminal Control van. Then he gets knocked off of that by one of the Aminal Control types... At least he had a nice pile of trash to land in.
I noted that Kris said that outside of Sarah, most of Peter's days are like this.
And Kris expects us to treat this as fantasy? Too damn real for fantasy!

It's like Peter has that whole Tenchi-syndrome going for him, without the huge number of females.

Than again, Jean likes him in that sort of friends with occasional benefits sorta way. Becca certainly wants exclusive right on him, if only to use him as a punching bag. And of course Sara is linked to him forever pretty much.

So dang. He is Tenchi. (but without the space pirates?)

Nah, Peter's more like . Think about it - numerous females hanging around him, all of whom don't respect him, abuse him physically and psychologically on a regular basis, yet secretly (or not so secretly) want to do him. The only difference being he (Peter) DOES occassionally get some.

At least this story is all of a piece. Every version of Tenchi was different, to the point of insanity, culminating in Tenchi in Tokyo, which seemed to be aimed at an entirely different age group. Personally, I liked the first Tenchi, where it's intimated that he and his Space-Pirate Girlfriend seem to be settled into a happy quiet relationship.
Not so Peter. He has had Jean as a lover and friend, Sarah as a lover (remember, she was going to close out her relationship by bedding him-once-and go on to more interesting things) and Rebecca as a sort of mystery woman that he runs from every chance he gets.
Come to think of it: Sarah's deciding to close their relationship after letting him take her virginity seems just a bit cold to me: perhaps what she got was in the line of just desserts. Kris still has Rebecca as a mystery: she obviously wants him, enough to defy (slightly) her father's prohibitions, yet the for what is not explained (probably for good reason). To make a "Wolf" out of him? To use as a playtoy even though her father has said "no" to such a liason? Just because he's there? Remember, she was evidently planning to call him out that evening at the Howl...and Kris has kept that little mystery just that: a mystery.
Now, Peter is on a pile of trashbags, after being knocked off one of the Aminal Control vans; this wouldn't be trash day-would it? Peter gets picked up by a mechanical trash-grabber...
I keep thinking there's a surprise waiting, and knowing Kris, it's probably hilarious.
Speaking of the other girls, are we gonna see them any time soon?

Aw jeez, this isn't going to turn into a harem series is it? No offense to anyone here but I'm pretty tired of them.

Peter is having one bad week though. And I have a feeling it's only going to get worse. He going o have to keep the guys in the animal contorl vans away from Sarah without getting himself caught in the process and then he's going to have to deal with Butch and possibly Gus...

One thing that will keep this from becoming a "Harem" series is the "Harem" themselves. In a "Harem" series, most of the comedy revolves around the girls vyeing for the guy's affections. Here, Jean has a life; Sarah is more interested in getting the Wuff under control than in Peter; and only Rebecca seems to be interested in Peter himself, and there are a lot of questions as to "what for?"
While (if they are all going to the same college) Jean will be looking for Mister "Right for now", Sarah will probably just take Wolfsbane on "those days of the month" when she has "Wolf Problems" and may never deliberately shift into Ms. SuperMax (Sarah-the-Werewolf) even with Sarah firmly in control. I suspect that she will think "I had sex with Peter once, and this happened. That's quite enough: pass the equations, please." I don't think she will consider the number of times that the Wuff has had sex with Peter as relevant; "I wasn't in control, therefore it didn't happen." Peter will be taking a lot of cold showers. The "mated for life" that the pack imposed won't be enforcable outside of the pack's territory.
As to Rebecca, she may actually have some feeling for Peter, as she was willing to "call him out" at that long-ago (here) Howl, where her father would be under the control of Sheriff Con, as well as the other Elders of the pack. All that bluster might be her concept of delicately approaching Peter--and remember, on page one he was coming from what he called a "confrontation" with her when the Aminal Control people started the whole story. Perhaps she was telling him that she wanted him as a mate, which would make most males of that age run for safety, and in Peter's case, shift. Fact is, 'Becca is about as tactful as an M-1 Abrahms Main Battle Tank, courtesy of her daddy's peculiar method of Parenting. That would fit her actions that happened later on, as well.
Of course, I'm probably wrong on this... but it does bear consideration.
