Hey Everyone,
This is in response to what has been happening in the comic (this post up to November 11). Brief recap:

After Sarah gets calmed down by Peter (chapter 3), they both head for the doctor's where Sarah gets a full check-up. The doctor, being a kistune, pranks the were-Sarah (changed to wolf due to checkup) and scares her out of the building in which immediately fallows Aminal Control vehicles in hot pursuit.

As Kyllein MacKellerann stated, The person in the August 12th strip(chapter 4) was suspicious. Here are a few things to note about it.

1. From the dialog we can tell that this person does not know that the company he has called is actually called Aminal Control and was not a mess up due to the other person on the phone.

2. He mentions a target being in the area of the doctor’s within a 50 min time period (10 min delay), this is when we see Sarah and Pete entering the doctor’s office. This leads us to believe that the person knows who these people are and realizes the nature of the person they are going to see (as we find out in the November 4th strip).

3. The nails are a little to pointed to be human don't you think?

4. Though it's faint, you can tell the hair is of a flat cut.

NOW, going to earlier in the comic, In the general content site, April 1st (as pointed out by Kyllein MacKellerann again) we see Gus smiling a mischievous smile. We also see he has a flat hairstyle. He then goes on to ask the group(in the same strip) "Why couldn't one of us Train her? Does it matter who keeps her under control?"

A couple of strips later we see him mentioning that Sarah's were form is too powerful to be killed without casualties and needs to be controlled.


The analysis/conclusion:
We see that Gus believes that Sarah needs to be controlled, and due to his obvious want for the role of pack alpha, you can guess who he has in mind of who should be controlling her. So how would he get control of her? He would first need to be the protector/keeper of her to 'Train' her (brainwash that is), which he can not do if peter still has credit that he can control her and keep her from running amuck. So he needs to discredit him, show the pack he can't handle her. He knows about the doctor visit, and since it's the packs doctor, you can bet he knows the doctors love for pranks.

Gus is not a stupid man. Narrow sighted, stubborn, and zealous maybe but not stupid. He can guess what would happen if the doctor plays a prank on a new Thrall that is almost purely instinctive. So he calls the Aminal control to cause a situation to be blown out of proportion to become a disaster. This will cause an immense amount of damage that will cause a headache for the pack to keep under wraps. This also discredits peter. I'm sure Gus will try to then speak that he is unfit to watch over Sarah and nominates himself to watch her and train her.

Of course that’s not going to happen.

This is what I predict will eventually happen.... though now that I write thesis all down, it sounds like it would take a lot of strips to do.... and there is the college thing coming up (as you can guess from the donation/vote going on) But I stand by my reasoning.

I like the idea but I think that you overestimate Gus' planning. I agree that he could have given some info to the werewolf's hunter. I don't think that he planned that the doctor will do the prank (or that the prank make her overeact that much).

Gus expected that they prepare a good ambush for when they quit the clinic. Peter showed trouble to outrun them in the past. Gus probably thinked that they could only escape if she become a thrall and if she become a thrall. Peter will lose the control of the situation.

The plan worked beyond what Gus planned and this is dangerous. Gus has to be able to control her, not to get her killed (if she cause too much trouble, she risks to be killed. Gus only have a single voice so he can't be sure of the result of the votes.) Beside now the blame can be partially put on the doctor and I feel that trouble just begin.

I disagree with this theory on many aspects. First of all pay close attention to this: GUS IS NOT THE ONE WHO SAID THE LINE ABOUT TRAINING! . Kris himself this, and people who tried to stick to the theory pissed him off some.

Now that that's out of the way for the time being, let's look at other possibilities. It's entirely possible that it was Gus who set the Aminal Control guys to tail Peter and Sarah, but if that's the case it's rather unclear at the moment who he intended them to tail. We already know that Aminal Control has its sights set on Peter for whatever reason, so unless they were informed of Sarah's abilities they probably wouldn't want to go after her.

Perhaps Gus did indeed inform Aminal Control of Sarah being the newest werewolf in town. She was made into one by another werewolf rather than being born as one so I'd imagine they would be rather keen to get her 'under a microscope' so to speak. Gus might have just inconveniently left out the bit about her being super powerful. Gus, of course, wouldn't care how many of them got inadvertantly slaughtered, idiotic humans that they are.

Perhaps to him they would just serve as an adequate distraction so he can find a way to kill her himself. After all, he can't have a werewolf that powerful running around. I'm pretty sure the only reason he changed his vote to have both of them live is because trying to kill them both right then would be bad timing.

You are all missing a salient point. And no, I'm not gonna tell you what it is...but I'll hint: Who else might want Sarah out of the way?
And Kris: this isn't intended to be a spoiler session, I just want to give some detectives some fun. If you say so: we'll stop the conspiracy business, but it is kinda' fun; and better than playing mumbledy-peg with your Ka-Bar (done that).

Not sure I'm into any conspiracy theories right now. But if we're going, hypothetically, with the idea that Gus called the Aminal Control, I'd suspect he'd want Peter out of the way, not Sarah.

He's already expressed an interest in having someone else from the pack train Sarah instead of Peter. And having a superwerewolf under his thumb would be great for eliminating his competition as pack alpha...

Annnnd.... if anyone does it, it'll be me... post-MFF.

Though the good news is, you guys should have a new page this saturday!

Perhaps, Queen, but also perhaps the other same-gen males of the pack are in a different group. We're seeing just the group of young Were's that are involved with Peter, and their parents. It's possible that there are other young men who are involved with other girls who are a little older or younger than this target group...and with Kris stating that the Were'-ing factors cannot be passed by kissing, they might even have mundane girlfriends, rather than Werewolf girlfriends.
Imagine the insanity that would happen if some Were' guy's non-Were' girlfriend found out his "little secret", but in a way that didn't turn her into a Thrall. Even if she was "cool" about it, I suspect that there would be a bit of upset within the pack.
Now, here's a question for Kris: If a Were' (guy or girl) really fell in love with a non-Were' ( as in totally lifetime comitted), would the pack sanction that person's being made Were', or would it be prohibited? I can see arguments going both ways, with the two eloping as a third possibility.

Well, Peter does have the ability to join another pack: all he has to do is move away from home (College), get a job, and make a life for himself.
Given that Packs are apparently very autonomous, and communications are slow to glacial; he could probably make a start and establish himself pretty well by the time word arrived about him. Being out of his abusive homelife, he might even grow a bit and discover he's a capable and competent Werewolf, on his own.
I really don't see Sarah sticking with him, once she gets control over the Wuff: I suspect she will be a non-shifting Were' who takes Wolfsbane on her "wolfy days" and is indistinguishable from a non-Werewolf, other than that...although she might get to like being "Ms. SuperMax" with a different pack; you never know.
What I do see is Rebecca showing up if Peter decides not to come back to the home pack. I think (probably very incorrectly) that she's in love with him: how's that for frightening? She has all the tact of an Abrams Tank, with none of the armor plating or 120mm gun.
But, that's for the future. Kris will take us there, a page at time, with lots of humor on the way.
