Dear G'hod, what happened to Sarah on the second panel? Please tell me that's going to be cleaned up in the print version...I know it was supposed to be ugly and mean, but it just looks kind of silly.

Yeah, it's more that just about everything Sarah has is in a Turtle theme. Plushies, comforters, etc. Might say something about her personality.

I also approve of the tern clue-by-four and will henceforth incorporate it into my vocabulary. As for Sarah, judging by how she just plain wilts in the last panel, I'd say she's starting to realize that she's done goofed more than a little here. Let the healing begin.

It's good to see Sarah is getting clued in. In hindsight after many have pointed out she never knew Butch, she probably had no clue Butch was trying to "claim" Pete all this time. As for her conclusion jumping... I admit thinking about it, it's a very human reaction. Not everyone can be calm enough to look at that situation and go "there's something screwy going on here besides the obvious screwing". Especially given she was in uber-wolf mode she was on a pure Id-trip and on instinct and emotion.

Now that she's calmly thought about it, she's obviously feeling very small. Reconcilation seems on the horizon; however as I said in a prior post I hope to see improvement between Pete and Sarah's chemistry. Maybe this bump will help there.

As for Jean, I know many here are frowny over her attempted seduction; I think perhaps this's a clue-in about what Jean's Mom said to her in their car ride. We all know Jean and Pete have a sexual history (and from Jean's own words an awesome one), and now Pete is committed with Sarah, now by Pack standards if Sarah and he are cool with it, he could still "service her" and it's obviously been awhile. Now so far we haven't seen Jean seeking an alternative "sex source"....which to me intimates Jean may have more feelings for Pete herself than she's willing to admit (not unlike Sarah outside of wolf mode), and the warning her Mom gave her is starting to emerge.

The way she quickly delved into that intense day-dream, and was "hoping" for a ride on the Petey-pole, the "it's been a looong time" horniness aside, it seemed to me Jean has a high regard for Pete as a lover...

Then again only Kris and Bar-1 know what goes on in their minds.

By the by, has the monthly Howl already taken place at this point in the comic or is still upcoming? Not too long ago one of the characters mentioned it, suggesting it was only a couple days away. I'm hoping the next chapter will chronicle Sarah's first Howl.

I think you guys owe Aaron Williams royalties for using the clue by four.

It was a magic weapon/item/dohicky in his Nodwick comic from...well, some time ago. He stopped writing the series back in 2006 and a dozen issues after the clue by four made it's appreance.

...and yes you use it about how you'd think and it does about what you expect.



Foud out, it was published 2005-07-01. The series ended and the issue in quesiton is no longer avaiable for sale so I hope you don't mind me mentioning it.

The Clue by Four as a phrase has been around a lot longer than that.

I first encountered the phrase in 1995, myself, shortly after I got online.
