I'm bringing this post to the top so I can sticky it for future reference.

While I'm doing that, I think I'll issue some Word of God on the current PitW page at TVTropes.

"Didn't See That Coming": Con Nero wasn't in the least displeased about Murray's opposition. He only wanted the video so he could bury it, so Murray's deletion worked just fine for him. Note the smile where Murray can't see it in the last panel of that exchange.

"Freaky is Cool": First, when Sarah visits Tiki-Li-Li's, there are no patrons, only employees. Carol and the fry cook are scared from the start and never really change. Brooke is thrilled after a few cautious moments. Murray, the manager, is thinking about nothing more than publicity to boost his sales. (The place Tiki's is based on IRL may do a brisk business, but Tiki-Li-Li's is a bit marginal at the start of Book 3 and needs the help.)

"Involuntary Shapeshifting": It's not "all but impossible to stay human during the full moon", but it does require continued concentration. Peter's very bad at it by were standards.

"Ma'am Shock": This isn't really a Berzerk Button for Jean: she was using it to keep Lee Stebbins distracted. It was an acting job.

Obstructive Code of Conduct: Actually Archie Hunt blackmailed both sides. It's the only way that sort of thing could work.

Well-Intentioned Extremist: Actually, the pack in the thrall-horror-story FAILED to take down the thrall in question.
