First Panel:
...Yep, that's pretty much how it is in undergrad science courses. Slight majority of students sleeping, some trying desperately to stay awake, and some dutifully - even enthusiastically - following along as the professor explains the differences between skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle.

Second panel:
To quote Grim and Steve of The Munchkin's Guide to Power Gaming: Nobody likes the French...Not even French-speaking Belgians.

...OK, that's not fair. The French are awesome. Like any culture/country/people, you get some assholes, and they stand out.

Hmmm... This brings back old times...as in before any of you were alive. I'm 61.
Take it as gospel: Soph year in College is exactly as depicted. You take useless classes. A&P (not the stores) is a certain cure for insomnia, and humming "Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Dry Bones" will cause the professor to throw things at you. French teachers are A-Holes to the degree that even the French won't have them ( and reminding same that the Romans taught them how to decline verbs gaurantees a D).
Phys Ed is like high school, only with less interest on everyone's part.
Ahhh, the memories! Come save me, Senility!!!

And no, Sarah; that is a twenty pound bar sans weights. Peter is spotting for you, so you don't need to worry about dropping it and getting a new nose in the process. Your "enhancement" would turn it into a bit of modern art without raising a sweat.
