There are an alternative. What would happen if Gus fall in comatose state? There are really few things that a werewolf can't regenerate. Among fire could be the less troublesome to use. What would happen if Gus is trapped in a fire an is severely crippled by it. His regeneration won't help at least not like for normal wound) it so we didn't know if he will recover. Rebecca won't dare leave in case that he recovers. She don't want be tracked by his father once his fulled healed. During this time, she has a lot more freedom and a good opportunity to mature out of this bully mentality.
Ça me semble logique, mais n'hésiter pas à me le dire si j'ai fait une erreur.

Gus would be comatose just long enough for Rebecca to pump a gallon of silver nitrate solution into his I.V. line... or maybe slather the burned area with Silvadene, a skin antiseptic that is frequently used on burns and has metallic silver as its main ingredient.
From what we've seen of Butch and her father, she would see killing him that way as not only appropriate and moral(since he is now weaker than she is) but also a great deal of fun.
She's "jest special" that way.
