Everybody is assuming that Professor Plaid is the one not in on the secret.
That might not be the case. He might actually be a Psychic researcher who was dragooned into teaching the young Were-Whatever's the basic recognition signals instead of being able to work on his great project: proving that Psychic Powers exist.
In short, he may be a frustrated Professor Xavier having to re-teach the Beast every semester.
That would also cause his current upset-ness.
Add in that if he was IN on the Secret, he'd KNOW what (if not who) jumped on his car back in the first part of the story, and also who was responsible for his little crack-up that may have totaled his car.
I don't think that the local Pack carries liability insurance...so he has to keep silent and try to get the best he can out of the insurance he has.
That could make him cry, in my opinion...
