Actually that would depend on whether these Werewolves have Human "periods" or Wolf "heats".
In the case of the latter (heats), scent and instinct will keep the couple busy, in every sense of the word.
In the case of the former (periods), Male Werewolves probably go fishing during that little troubled time.

I seem to remember another comic that had animorphic characters. The fox girl went into heat one time out of the year, she also had the PMS one time out of the year, with a years worth of the emotions bottled in a week.

Werewolves don't (quite) have a heat. Like primates, they are ready and willing to have sex most of the time.

Werewolf females, however, are only actually fertile for about two one-week periods per year.

Menstruation, on the other hand, comes regularly on the same twenty-eight day schedule...

Their yearly estrus are fertility turned up to 11.
