Cons are breeding grounds for the most virulent contagions imaginable. Wading nude through a septic tank would carry a lesser chance of contracting some fun little bacteria or virus than spending a single at a con.

Depends on the Con really. I've been to a number that were very, very clean. Then there was a few where the idea of hauling in a preassure washer and soap seemed like a fine idea. Seems to depend on the area and the group the con applies too.

Only been to one Con, and it was a minor little Trek con, so pretty clean, though one of these days I'll make it to a real one.

You also get some weird combinations too.

Worst guy we knew in my grfoup was thin as a rail, had at most a goatie, clean and decently dressed.

On the other hand he ordered a bunch of stuff at a store that he was then never able to pay for, lived on the street and panhandled after a point but used what he got panhandling to play in computer cafes at various games. Was so annoying in games that it became standard for his character to be walked intoa backroom and quietly done away with.

The psychos. I've run into more than my fair share of gamers or fans that are ready to try and beat the living daylights out of you should you ever utter a phrase like

"Picard was a better Captain than Kirk."
"I don't like Episodes 1-3 of Star Wars"
'Trek is better than Wars"
"Wars is better than Trek"
and many many more.
