Well, there's , guys, personally, me & Kris love the timewasting site, but it puts it all into perspective.

Most of the shows in Anime are based off of Manga, (or video games nowadays) and are, as such, based on a protagonists' development. remember, before DragonBall Z, there was DragonBall, with Goku as a little kid.

But as such, that young protagonist is just part of the Hero's Journey. And given that most shows are aimed at teenagers who are supposed to identify with these characters, and find their own "inner potential", etc.

at this point the only thing i can come up with is that she seems kinda violent

I also noticed she has rather sharp fingernails in one of the other panels. For some reason, and I don't know why. She makes me think Anasazi (The were-spider)
