It's implied in the Wiki that Peter actually isn't unusually large compared to other werewolves, at least in wolf-form.. one of the reasons his 'second-bat' dosn't give him much comfort with regard to his Omega status.

Peter is larger than average, but not exceptionally so. In absolute measurements he's about the same as his father and slightly smaller than Gus.
