So I spent some time this evening with TV Tropes... again.

Tonight's personal discovery was , the Troper term for fandom theories about "Why X?" that are, well, REALLY out there.

And there have been a few floated here, re: PitW, mostly to do with how lycanthropy works in the PitW world, a question which I've stated repeatedly and firmly that PitW will never actually answer.

But now there's a thread to encourage wild-ass speculation. Beware, though: anything that you post here might get

Down on a quantum level there is nothing to say that you could not change shapes. There is, as far as I have read, no explainable force that dictates what you are. People may have, as the legends of many shamanic cultures say, been able to change shapes into other animals in the past and we have just forgotten how over time and under the thumb of religious repressions.

Who knows right? There doesn't need to be a physical method of transforming into something. You can just become the pattern you want assuming we ever figure out how to designate those patterns and how to trigger the change. It would be less of a 'getting fuzzy' and more that you stop being one thing and suddenly are something else.

Sadly, it won't happen in our life times most likely.
