Having now read the article I can say that my reaction was, and still is, "um, what?" I've never been to college so I have no idea what that culture is like, and it frankly doesn't matter. Why the hell do we keep allowing society's expectations to determine what we want or don't want?
Look, everybody is different, therefore ranty opinion articles like this one are pretty useless when it comes to the big picture. Let me make a few blanket statements here.
People like to have sex. Most men want to have sex with women and most women want to have sex with men. Here's some more breaking news: the sun will come up tomorrow.
Ladies, there's nothing wrong with guys wanting to have sex with you, so don't hate them for trying. Most men are not out to abuse or control you.
Guys, there's nothing wrong with ladies being cautious, so don't hate them for it. If you work hard and want to be generous, go for it. Just remember that nobody is obligated to return any favors.
For guys and ladies, stop being conspiracy theorist nutbags and think for yourself. Nobody is psychic. What's the solution? Talking.
I believe in no God, no invisible man in the sky.
