The Ballad of Koku High

Umm, hi. Ordinarily I'm a lurker on account of not having much to contribute, but a month or two ago I started working on a little project inspired when a friend convinced me to start reading Tenjho Tenge. After going through the first couple of volumes getting increasingly frustrated with the moronic protagonist (at least until the flashback, when things got cool) I started tinkering with the idea of James Nohbdy, a.k.a. "Jimmy Nobody", an utterly normal protagonist who ends up in a school full of martial artists and ki-users, and through a combination of cunning, misunderstandings and dumb luck (the latter especially) ends up with a reputation as a badass fighter.
So, with that idea, I started writing a 9-page comic script introducing the core characters the story would revolve around. After that followed a 16-page script continuing with Jimmy's first day accompanied by a special section revealing the events of the prelude comic through the eyes of one of the other characters. The 9-page prelude is here, on my DeviantArt page: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40821980/
P.S. I haven't had the opportunity to read Ninja High School yet, so I don't know if I'm ripping it off or not. Hopefully not too much. :>
